Jim Cook has generously offered to lead two OG Focus Sessions on Forecasting/Planning in an Uncertain World. Jim’s financial and operational leadership for several high profile growth startups in Silicon Valley built the foundations for the multi-billion dollar valuations of Intuit, Netflix, and Mozilla.  Over the last 30 years in Silicon Valley, Jim has advised dozens of CEOs, Boards, and other entrepreneurs both in and out of the Board Room.  For the last 10+ years, Jim has served as a Group Director for the Alliance of CEOs and has recently launched BenchBoard CFO Network for the purpose of sharing best practices and insights in a private trusted network of fellow CFOs.

This session will be an open forum for Q&A for those members in charge of business continuity, budgets, etc – we are all having to revisit our plans/forecasts and make changes.

• Creating the Proper Financial Scenario/Contingency Plans

• Helping you, as CFO, to provide a shared decision-making framework for your CEO and your Board

• Ultimately, to help you, as your company’s financial leader, proactively lead your company through the next 3-6 months vs. being reactive and being forced to be led.

Agenda: 

• Discuss changes we’re observing in the marketplace and recruiting process which will include basic things like video interviews vs. in-person, levels of responsiveness and follow-up with hiring managers/recruiters, etc.

• Talk about sectors/companies that are most immune <-> most at-risk

• Potential opportunities for OG members are looking for similar roles to swap stories, resume reviews, make connections, etc.
