Andrew Hessel is a scientist, communicator, and investor exploring the future of biology and biotechnology. He is the co-founder and chairman of the Center of Excellence for Engineering Biology and the Genome Project-write, the international scientific effort to design and build large genomes, including the human genome. He co-founded Humane Genomics, a developer of precision artificial viruses targeting cancer. Andrew is a former distinguished research scientist at Autodesk Life Sciences. His new book, The Genesis Machine: Our Quest to Rewrite Life in the Age of Synthetic Biology, co-authored with Amy Webb, was released in February 2022.

Anne Raimondi is Asana’s COO and Head of Business, leading and scaling Asana’s growth and global business operations and go-to market teams, including sales, marketing, customer operations, partner programs and business development. Anne is an industry veteran with over 20 years of experience leading various product and business functions in fast-growing SaaS companies. Prior to her role at Asana, she was the Chief Customer Officer at Guru, Senior Vice President Operations at Zendesk, Chief Revenue Officer at TaskRabbit and held senior positions with SurveyMonkey and eBay. Anne serves on the boards of Gusto, Patreon, and Guru. She holds a B.A. in Economics and Sociology, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University, and is a Lecturer in Management for Stanford’s Graduate School of Business.

Prior to that, he was a Managing Director at Anthos Capital, a Santa Monica-based growth equity firm. Bryan has also advised over a dozen companies as a Board Director or formal advisor, and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of BBQ Holdings (NASDAQ: BBQ), an innovative global franchisor, owner and operator of restaurants. Dr. Joe Sutherland is a senior technology executive with extensive experience in strategy, technology, marketing, and operations. He is the Director of Data, Insights & Growth for Cisco. Prior to joining Cisco, worked as a management consultant, where he led groundbreaking digital transformation, analytics, and marketing initiatives for a portfolio of widely admired Fortune 500s. He also made a few pit stops in government in finance. From 2011-2013, he served at The White House under the Obama Administration in roles supporting the movements and press briefings of the President. Joe gives back to the community as an Adjunct Professor for Emory’s Quantitative Theory & Methods (QTM) program and is a member of the advisory boards for Balto and Mentor Collective. He was previously a member of the Undergraduate Experience Committee for the Board of Trustees of Washington University in St. Louis. He holds a Ph.D., M.Phil., and Master’s from Columbia, and a Bachelor’s from Washington University in St. Louis. In his free time, Joe enjoys golf, tennis, and spending time with his family.

I began my career as an astrophysicist, but left my tenured faculty job to move to a top hedge fund 11 years ago. I spent 7 years there, eventually leaving to head a data science team at Walmart. In 2020, I started Infiniscape, a learning and social platform that will launch its app in 2022. I have a PhD from Harvard in astronomy. Having spent so many years analyzing data and leading small teams, I need to expand my connections and knowledge of operations and product development.
