There’s no playbook when it comes to being an operator. Operators Guild aims to cultivate a community of highly engaged operations professionals so that they can help each other navigate the complex and nuanced issues that may come up when scaling a company. We also strive to provide an inclusive and safe space for members to develop professional and personal networks.
What began as a small group of operators in San Francisco connecting to share ideas, best practices and war stories has evolved into a community of over 1,000 members from all over the globe. And we’re not stopping here.
Operators Guild started in 2014 when a group of 9 like-minded operations professionals met over lunch. Casey Woo (an attendee) asked Jamie (the organizer) and the others if they’d be interested in formalizing the group, setting up monthly get togethers, and agreeing to a few ground rules which remain the same rules of engagement today:
Give more than you get
Leave your ego at the door
No promotion or solicitation
What is said here stays here
Operators only
The Operators Guild has 1,000+ members, with chapters in over 25 cities across the globe. We host 40+ events annually, including networking dinners, tactical Masterclasses/Focus Sessions and the annual OG Summit - the only un-conference built specifically for multi-disciplinary and cross-functional operators.
Our mission is to be the premier private community and ecosystem for finance and operational professionals at high growth companies. We are manically focused on empowering operators professionally through deepening our investments in four main verticals: social (in-person) events, education (knowledge and professional development), talent (jobs and hiring) and investing (companies and products).
